Lamp made out of bacon

Randomly surfing around, I came across this oddity… the Bacon Lamp!

Some random guy apparently decided that a normal lamp wasn’t good enough, and the first obvious improvement was to replace the traditional shade with a bacon shade.  Well, to that, we say WELL DONE, SIR!

Yes, the Bacon Lamp is certainly a thing a beauty.  This sucker looks like it holds enough bacon for a whole slew of BLT’s, and if the proper wattage bulb were selected, utilizing the lamp as a real lighting solution might actually cook the bacon.  Imagine how awesome it would be to have every light in your home passively cooking up strips of bacon while you go about your daily life!

Baconnaise - Bacon flavored spread

Considering how delicious bacon is, it makes sense that bacon would be added to many other foods.  Some of those foods make perfect sense, like hamburgers, sandwiches, and omelets.  Others, however, don’t make any sense at all.  At least not to the layman (that is, one whom is not obsessed with bacon.)

Apparently popular in the pacific northwest are these little delectable treats: maple-bacon donuts.

Yes, you read that correctly.  Maple iced donuts covered with crispy bacon.  Delicious, crunchy, tasty bacon.

Still, as wonderful as it sounds, with culinary creations like this popping up all the time, it’s no wonder we’re seeing more and more Americans “stricken” with obesity each year.  Oh, sure, it’s a glandular problem… couldn’t possibly have anything to do with all those BACON COVERED DONUTS…

Still, for those of us that DON’T rival the weight of a Mini Cooper, these tasty little rings of cholesterol and sodium just might be the perfect way to enjoy the weekend.  Kick back, put on the game, and enjoy a bacon crusted pastry of your choice.
